If you’re interested in a night of bowling, then Bayside Bowl is the place to go. Unlike most bowling alleys that can feel dull and sleazy, Bayside Bowl is vibrant and new. It’s a great place to enjoy live music and a full bar even if you’re not looking to bowl with easy parking availability.
Bayside Bowl has really good food too. The building allows Bayside Bowl to host parties, so the last time I went there, the waitresses gave my friends and I free food left over from a corporate party. Just goes to show how nice the staff is there–they’re really awesome!
Bayside Bowl is located near the Back Cove area on Alder Street in Portland. Doors open on weekdays from 4pm to 1am–open at noon on weekends. This place is always packed so be sure to call in ahead of time to see when a lane will open. Even if you have to wait two hours for your lane, Bayside Bowl has a full bar, full menu, and great live local and national bands that play all week. They also have ski ball, and outside on the patio, Bayside has two new bocce court and cornhole.
Portland’s Old Port is just down the street from Bayside Bowl, so entertain yourself with a night of bowling and a few drinks. Bowling is the perfect thing to do to fill your night in Southern Maine.
